How we research & update

Honest about our process: automated research from official sources, automated checks before publishing, and corrections when readers flag them.

Last reviewed: October 2026

Where our information comes from

We take amounts, rules and dates from primary sources: ECDA (preschools and subsidies), MSF (Baby Bonus, the CDA and parental leave), the CPF Board (MediSave), MOM (the domestic worker levy), IRAS (tax reliefs) and the Ministry of Health / HealthHub (health information). Each page lists its sources and the date the figure was valid.

How pages are produced

Our content is produced by an automated research-and-writing pipeline and reviewed by automated checks (source presence, figure formatting, internal-link validity, length limits) before publishing. We are telling you this plainly: a human does not hand-review every single page. We do not publish a figure that is not tied to a cited official source.

How often we update

Support amounts change at the Budget or when policy changes, so we review them when announcements are made. Fees and preschool information are reviewed at least quarterly. The "Updated" date on each page reflects its last change.

A word on health topics

Where we mention health matters, such as the childhood vaccination schedule, we report the official schedule as general information only and point you to your doctor or HealthHub. We do not give medical advice.

Corrections

Found an error or a stale figure? Email hello@sgparentguide.online and we will check it against the source and fix it. See our Corrections policy.
